Since the first time that I've seen and heard this lady in a Heineken commercial I fell in love with her and her voice. She reminds me a little bit of Amy Winehouse. The big hair, the make-up..... But thank god for her curves. :)

Sorry that I was away so long...... and a little give-away for my dears.
Hello my dears....
Sorry that I was away for so long. My dad's death was harder for me then I ever could emagine. I felt (and still feel) very sad and wasn't in the mood for blogging. Now I start to accept it more and more. First I thought to quit blogging, but now I am in the mood again!
Last months we worked hard on the house to make our own place.
We also had a bit time for carbootsale's and flea-markets. One off my best finds ever are 3 pair vintage seventies shoes in good condition and my size! <3
And now the long time promissed give away for my dear readers who didn't leave me.......

The house... A little piece off the outside.
Finally the weather is getting better, and we can go clean up the outside of the house. The inside also needs a lot of work, but now the garden needs some tlc before the spring comes.
We already pulled down some trees and bushes that where to big or to old. The pond is a big mess, a piece off a tree is lying in it. I've already cleaned out the pavilion. There was a lot of junk in it. Now still a bit of it is on the grass. It will be tiki-style when it is finished. (Think it is going to take a long time.... ) We are planning to plant some more fruit-trees on the field behind the barn. The outside sheds for the cars need a new roof. So I don't think I will get bored overhere. We also got a new family-member. More off him later.
Tomorrow I get some clothing-racks for all my vintage stuff. My old wardrobe doesn't fit in our new room upstairs. The room is big enought but because of the slanting ceiling.... :( Happy fact is that the racks can handle more dresses. :D So this week I will be able to unpack my clothes. Yeah.
When the boxes are unpacked I hope to find all my stuff again, and I will do the promissed give-away for my beloved readers who stayed with me all this time.

My dad, My hero. 1948-2012
This should be a wonderfull time. We moved to our new place, got internet now after waiting 5 weeks. The snow is gone and spring is slowly showing up.... (At least I hope so) Ow and we got married....
But it is not wonderfull. My dad died monday 6-2-2012 of a heart attack. Only 63 years old.
Two years ago he got a very bad kind of Non Hodgkins. He got a lot of chemo and the cancer stopped. Last summer it came back. Again he got chemo and a stem cel transplantation. It was very heavy for his body, and he was only half the man he used to be. With the transplantation they killed the non hodgkin but because the also kill a lot of good things also, he got leukaemia. His body and we also think my dad himself had give up on getting better now. I am very sad and also angry that he died at such a young age, but I am also a little bit glad that he doesn't has to suffer anymore.
My dad was a special person. You could always laugh with him and he never jugded somebody before knowing the person. When you needed help, my dad was always there. Not only for my mom, my sister and my, but for everybody who needed help. He never complained. Even if he was so sick he never complained but always told us to laugh a bit more. Live was short...
He was so happy that we bought this house and lived just a couple of minutes away. He still had big planns and dreams, but now they will never come true anymore.
We could make a few of his wishes come true. He always joked that when he died, his last trip had to be with his pick-up. My brother in law and me did this. We picked him up for his last ride. My little cousins and nieces painted his coffin. I know it sounds a bit weird, but for them it was a way of saying goodbey. The church was really full with people who came to say goodbey for the last time. It was beautifull to see how beloved my dad was. The funeral was beautifull, just like my dad was. We played songs of Elvis and Johnny Cash, there where a lot of soap-bubbles, and the sun was shining. We burried him in the woods on a special cemetery under a big tree. Some people where shocked the way we did it, but the people who really knew my dad, they also knew this was the way he would have wanted it. :)

Happy Newyear and we finally got the house.....
Happy newyear to all of you sweet lady's and men! It is way to long since I have been here.
My dad was in hospital for stem cell transplantation and it was a scary time for us. He was very sick for a while but now he is doing fine.
Our house was also going the wrong way. The previous owner was gone. Really gone. So instead of signing the papers in November, we just signed them last friday. Yes now we are owners of a house, but it took some real big stress for me. I hate stress..... We already had the keys to the house for a week and we are already cleaning now for days. The other people left almost everything behind. :( Example.... a freezer fully loaded with ice-cream and not been on electricity for 2 years....
I've made a movie on saturday and I will upload it on youtube this week and then post it here. :)
So I am very sorry for not being around here that much lately and the next weeks it will be very busy for me also (we still have to move) but I will be back!

Our house in the middle of the street, our house... :)
Yes, Yes, Yes, finnaly we got the last and final yes from our bank.
I almost couldn't eat and yesterday I got early home from work because I was so nervous. Yesterday was the longest day of my live. After a few calls we got the final email with the big YES. I don't think I felt ever so happy.
The first time I bought a house was 14 years ago when I was 22. It was so easy then. Now it is much harder to get a yes from the bank. The house we are now going to buy has been empty for about 6 years. The people who owned the house before did a lot of work on it, but they never lived in it. We also have to do a lot of work, but we don't mind. Now we have a lot of space for us, for our cats, our doggies and our cars. In about 5 weeks we will sign the papers and get the keys and then the big move will start. :)

Nervous wreck!
I became a nervous wreck the last weeks. I almost don't have any time to surf the internet. I am checking my email on my phone. The house we are trying to buy is a ten minute drive from my parents house, but an hour and a half from where we are living now. So we spend a lot of time in the car driving to the house selling people and the mortgage people. Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow we will get the final yes or no from the bank. And I so nervous..... My hands are shaking and sometimes it feels just like I cann't breath anymore.
And I am so sorry that I didn't stop by you all lately. I am going to make it good by doing a give away soon. :)
